The next stage in my life

Well I finally did it. Last Wednesday, no not Valentine's Day, the week before, I asked Shannon to marry me. We actually have been planning it for some time, but it wasn't official until I gave her the ring. So the big day is May 18th at the Washington DC Temple and the reception is May 19th in Charlotte at the Ballantyne Country Club. Well here's a picture of the ring. Its kind of hard to see, but for the ladies out there, its a three stone emerald cut ring. And I know what you are all thinking...yes Shannon is a lucky girl. I'll try to post some pictures of us for everyone to see. You all should know how much I live taking those pictures but I'll manage a couple.

I finally did it.

So after over 8 years, I finally shaved my beard. It was not really my decision. I was forced into it by Shannon, my significant other. I am not a big fan of how I look but I want anyone else's opinion. So far I am leading by 1 person that likes it better with the beard than without. So let me know what you think.

Name my Team

This is the time of year that companies have tons of lost man hours on fantasy football. If you haven't played, you need to. Its awesome. A couple years ago I won a league and in turn got a cool $500. But every year I have issues with one thing. My team name. It has to be clever and mildly dirty. So I need some help from those 3 people that look at this blog. I have two players on my team that will help you with the dirty part, reggie BUSH and rudi JOHNSON. So take those names and run with it or make up something off the top of your head. I'll give you some examples of past team names. Mine last year was "The Lesbian Cure." Others that I've seen are "Goldbond Medicated" "Aristocrat Bound" "Third and Go F yourself" So there are your examples, get to work 3 people.

My Wednesday Trip

Ever since gas price have gone up I have looked at getting a new vehicle. So yesterday I purchased one. I have been looking for about two months and found a great deal last week. The only problem was that the car was in Cincinnati. So my dad decided to go up with me. We left at 5:40 AM got to Cincinnati at 1:20, drove the car, signed the papers, and drove home. I got to Charlotte at 12:30 AM and headed to bed.
Anyways I got a '04 Saab 9-5. The thing that sold me on Saab is that they have air conditioned seats. And since I am always hot, that's a nice bonus. Plus it still has the factory warranty and it gets over 33 MPG on the highway. Thats a little better than my 16 MPG from the Expedition.

My Future Wife

So last weekend I went to Atlanta to see a Red Sox Braves game. We went down Friday and went to the Lenox Mall. I was coming out of Express and this is what I saw.



Not only was she dressed in those short shorts, but what's with the cowboy boots.
Also the Sox won, so the red Sox are still undefeated in games I attend. They should give me season tickets.
